tedwilliams 150x150 Write about what you are doing easilyMost of us remember with a nostalgic smile the great baseball player Ted Williams. He had an amazing stroke and notable physical abilities. Once a reporter asked him a question about how hitting the baseball ball comes natural to him so easily. “Very simple”, he replied. “I make a thousand swings a day.” No matter if he was on the baseball field, in the changing room, under the shower or in the bedroom, Ted Williams swung his real or imaginary bat a thousand times a day. Exactly those thousand swings differed Ted from the other players, who had probably made a hundred swings less than him. The answer to the question why he hit so well was in those thousand swings.

Plenty of you will wonder why I tell this story about baseball and what it has to do with the composition of a cover letter.

The answer is simple.

Describe what you do with ease at work in your cover letter. Sell your best quality, skill or talent. Don’t think that if you are doing something with ease, your colleagues can do it as well as you. Don’t undermine your talent and skills! Everybody has a talent, given from God, but a few people understand it.

If you have excellent organizational skills, describe them in the cover letter!

When you are talking, people are listening to you with an open mouth and even Oprah would envy you – this is the key for your successful cover letter!

Removing different software and hardware problems is as easy as ABC for you? Well, write it down!

You can sell a refrigerator to an Eskimo. This is your winning ticket for the lottery!

If you’re going to sell yourself, offer your best.
