I am studying my second year as law student in The Long Island University School of Law and I am planning to receive my Juris Doctor in May 2004. My long standing dream is to practice law and for that reason I am trying to improve myself in this area and looking for a chance to build a career in this field. For that reason I have done really careful research and found out that the summer position, which was offered by your company will give me the opportunity to continue developing my skills and knowledge that I have gained so far. Moreover, with this position I will expand my present experience even more.
Hiring me on that position, I am sure that my skills could play a vital role if you give me the opportunity to participate in a case in the Family Court. I have really good command on my oral advocacy skills, really good ability to negotiate on behalf of the client and developed technique in conducting witness examinations. I also have experience as a Student Editor in the Family Court Review of the University, where I am studying, and all that underlines my great interest in Family Law.
While I was studying, I was working on a position with The Law Offices of McLaughlin & Mayers, P.C. as an Administrative Assistant. For the three years when I was working there I developed my skills in strong speech, ability to manage pressing assignments and very good communication. I really hope that I will continue developing myself professionally at the present position in your company.
There is a resume attached to illustrate my experience and my achievements. And I think that one personal meeting for a confidential interview will give me even better chance to convince you how valuable I can be for your law firm.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Chrystal Scotland.
