It could sound like a stereotype, but I have known all my life that I want to be an attorney and practice employment and labor law. In order to achieve my goal, after graduating I achieved master’s degree in Human Resources and a Jurist Doctor with a Certificate in Labor and Employment Law, both earned at Antioch University. My plan in pursuing this goal is to move to Washington, D.C., which is the area where this field is really rapidly developing. For all these reasons I am applying for the position as first-year associate at your company.

Both of my graduate studies, which are in law in human resources as I mentioned above, have given me the opportunity to get some valuable insight in most of the important issues, concerning this type of law. I made a lot of classroom presentations, regarding sexual harassment, employment discrimination, compensation for workers and different disputes. After that I still had the desire to understand this field from various prospective that is why I gained more experience in criminal and administrative law.

I used every opportunity that I could to apply in the real world everything I have learned during my school years. I have conducted in numerous community-services activities and internships, which gave me the chance to assist a lot of people in different concerns. As a result from all this I learned how to meet different people’s needs and developed my communication skills to an excellent level.

I would be really grateful if you give me the opportunity to meet you for an interview where we can further discuss my qualifications and skills. I will wait for you to contact me at your convenience.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and time.

Very truly yours,

Marcus Price.
