3. Information according to the branch.
Today when I am writing these words nothing is sure. The world crisis has spread everywhere. Still here is what I was looking for while researching. The dreamt job of mine was connected to sales of building materials, all activities pursuing repairs, furnishing inside and outside of the home. The information that I collected helped me not only in this moment. Later on when I was invited on a job interview I already had a clear picture of the future of the branch, its problems and its main market competitors. My inspiration came from the following sites and portals:
www.corporateinformation.com/ – the site requires registration, but its motto is eloquent: “What you need to know”;
www.biz.yahoo.com/industry – information for all industries, arranged in alphabetical order;
www.prars.com – The Public Register’s Annual Report Service – it contains a list of more than 3600 companies in the business sector. Reports for present and past financial years, seat of the company and so on. A site used by many investors. A lot of other sites or characteristics by which to search information for a certain company could be given. However for me it was more than enough. After all I wrote my killing cover letter!
