2. Financial reputation, profile of the company and status at the exchange.

Yes, although I have decided to change my job place, it wasn’t bad at all to see where I was going. I guess you agree that there’s no point in joining a company, which pays more, but has not a good financial status or maintains a bad working environment, etc. A man doesn’t shift his job every day. The information that I found out for my future employer only confirmed my willingness to put even more efforts in the composition of my motivation letter. It was profitable for the last few years, its shares were relatively stable and had reached a good price at the exchange. A little advice: I am no good specialist in indexes, courses, trends and all such financial terminology. Simply every site has a blog and there, believe me, even a child can understand what it has been searching for.

I’ll offer you a few links, which proved to be very useful for me:

www.virtualchase.com – site full of information and many useful references to other sites on economical issues, the site is free.

www.hoovers.com/free – the same as the above – free.

www.forbes.com – there is a column with the most read articles, blogs, classified in categories and a lot of other useful stuff.

www.inc.com – contains a list with the 500 fastest growing companies in the States plus ratings of the 100 most desired companies for working in them, the 100 top companies managed by women, etc.

We shouldn’t neglect all the news sites, because nearly all great publications have a financial column. I don’t publish links, because they are so many and are specific for every state and region.
