I’ve got quite lazy recently. I’m not sure if weather is to blame for that. Or – I’ve just lost a part of my motivation. For this reason, I decided to show you my favorite quotes and sentences for a cover letter. I hope to achieve several things in this way.

First, I want to push myself to a more regular writing pattern. Second, I have to diversify the content of my blog. And third, of course, I want to motivate the job seekers to write their cover letters on their own.

The quotes and sentences which I plan to publish in a series of articles may not be the best or most successful in getting the interview for you. They have been collected from books in my possession: books on how to write a resume and a cover letter. These are books which discuss careers and this process in its entirety.

But let’s quit the empty talk. Now, it is time to offer my favorite quotes to your attention. I hope that you find them useful.

“If you are currently in the market for an accomplished Senior Financial Analyst who has established an excellent reputation for successful acquisition analysis, the enclosed resume should prove interesting to you.”

“Dear Mr. Travis:

Please take 60 seconds to consider a senior executive who has:

Directed operations of eight international manufacturing companies with a combined sales volume of $120 million.

Increased profits by 40% reduced late deliveries by 76% and increased market share by 15%.

As a CFO, arranged debt and equity financings, implemented new manufacturing and accounting systems for a firm that grew from $18 million to $160 million in 20 months.”

“Do you have need for an employee who can provide management with timely information on which crucial decisions (e.g., marketing of company products, the opening of new branches, diversification of company operations, examination of the effects of new tax laws, preparation of economic forecasts, etc.) are made?”

“I was very impressed by the article about Carson Construction in the

November 8th Davenport Times. Your record of sales growth over the

past five years is enviable, and I think your diversification moves have

been strategically sound.”

“I have had the pleasure of using many of your fine products over the past

Twenty years. Your reputation for excellence in products and people makes

your company the type of organization I would like to join.”

“I am seeking a senior-level management position in marketing with

a consumer products company. I have had more than five years of successful management experience in one of the most competitive industries in the world.”
