“The easy way to get Perfect Cover Letters every time!”
Here’s book N 2 in my list. Below you can find a brief review of its main characteristics.
1. For the book
- Pages – 286
- Authors: Sandra Podesta and Andrea Paxton
- Publisher: “McGraw-Hill”
- Bonus: disk
2. It includes:
- The answer of the question how to find out your strengths.
- The answer of the question how to eliminate your weaknesses.
- Examples of cover letters, of course.
3. What’s the difference between this book and the others similar to it?
- The disc itself includes something like inquiry cards (I’m not sure if this is the right expression). Using them each job seeker can find out his/her strengths and what would impress his future employer. 201 examples of cover letters.
- It includes verbs that will help your cover letter catch the eye.
- It presents different kinds of cover letters:
The Networking Letter, The Ad Response/Resume Cover Letter, The Follow -up Letter, The Thank-you Letter
- Cover Letter Checklist.
4. Weaknesses
- The issue about writing a resume is insufficiently treated.
- It includes a lot less cover letters, compared to book 1.
5. In conclusion
The book appealed to me very much mainly for two reasons:
1. It is written in an user-friendly and straightforward manner
2. It explains very well how to write a cover letter including some wonderful examples.
